Commercial Music Instructor Pool-Part-Time

Commercial Music Instructor Pool-Part‑Time Position to support teaching in the Music Department at Cypress College. May be called for day, evening, hybrid/online, and dual enrollment courses. Responsibilities include lesson planning, delivering instruction, grading, and participating in faculty meetings. Responsibilities • Prepare and deliver course content in accordance with department standards. • Assess and provide feedback on student work. • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress. • Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions as required. Minimum Qualifications Any bachelor’s degree or higher and at least two years of professional teaching experience in music. OR any associate degree and at least six years of professional teaching experience in music. OR a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject area. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, with sensitivity to students from varied backgrounds. Desirable Qualifications Demonstrated success working with underrepresented or marginalized students, nontraditional learners, or students with learning disabilities. Experience teaching online or hybrid courses. Professional music credentials or certifications. Salary Per lecture unit rate: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85. Per lab parity unit rate: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85. Per lab unit rate: $1,258.16 – $1,380.60.
