As a Security Guard - Part Time Patrol Armed in San Antonio, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site leadership and/or public emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including sales floors, entry points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor for suspicious behavior, disorderly conduct, and/or potential theft‑related activity, and assist with access control, crowd management, and de‑escalation support in a retail environment. Support opening and closing procedures, observe high‑traffic and high‑value areas, and help with security‑related responses involving deliveries, vendor activity, and/or after‑hours concerns. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas. CPR/First Aid is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
