Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for an assigned group of patients during a designated night shift, following the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the medical plan of care and input from patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care across age groups as assigned.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, documenting outcomes and changes in condition.
- Provide patient and family education, and participate in discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
- Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other licensed or CNA staff based on competence and scope of practice; supervise and direct tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1 year of RN experience in telemetry or an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule (3 nights per week)
- Education: graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Competence with the nursing process and ability to care for patients across the age spectrum as applicable to the assigned unit
