Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated shift, using the nursing process to plan and deliver care.
- Prescribe nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating input from patients and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate care for patients across the age spectrum served on the unit.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning as part of the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current competence and scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient responses to interventions, and support safe, high-quality transitions of care.

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
- Ability to work in a hospital telemetry setting and care for patients across age groups (as assigned)
- Demonstrated clinical competence in nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the health care team
- Compliance with credentialing and on-boarding requirements for travel assignments
