Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract Special Education Teacher, supporting learners with diverse needs across elementary and junior high settings. This rewarding opportunity offers four openings for licensed professionals ready for a full-time commitment through May 2027. Each position is based at a dedicated site, focused on either affective needs or autism spectrum support, with manageable caseloads and a collaborative school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid special education license through CDE
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities or those on the autism spectrum
• Strong case management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to provide differentiated instruction tailored to varied learning needs
• Collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, ensuring all required documentation and services are provided
• Develop and implement IEPs, partnering with multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to promote student growth
• Support positive behavior strategies and classroom management
• Maintain ongoing communication with families, therapists, and school partners
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom climate

These roles offer a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, at one of four dynamic school sites. Whether your expertise is with affective needs or autism center-based programs, you’ll play a crucial role in students’ academic, social, and emotional progress.
