Cargo Inspection Specialist Determine appropriate action for high value cargo inspections. Essential Functions: - Determine and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risk during cargo handling and transit of high value cargo. - Support mitigation and salvage efforts as directed by management. - Document inspection findings and risk assessments accurately and in a timely manner. - Communicate effectively with internal teams and management regarding cargo risk concerns. - Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information. - Provide detailed reports and updates to management regarding claim status and resolution strategies. - Maintain records of claims, inspections, and resolutions for auditing and reporting purposes. - Maintain awareness of cargo security protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cargo claims handling and loss prevention. - Assist in identifying trends or recurring issues that may indicate systemic risk. - Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. - Perform other duties as required. Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience: Three (3) years experience in a business related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Customer service experience. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Strong communication skills and human relations skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Job Conditions: No travel.
