Schedule: 40 hrs/wk; 8a-5p, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend inpatient coverage.


Rehab Services of Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team. This role delivers patient-centered care across both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting patients throughout their full continuum of recovery. The PTA will work collaboratively with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals to implement treatment plans that restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.


Key responsibilities include:

• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and progress documentation for inpatient and outpatient caseloads.
• Assist with evaluations and carry out treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Deliver specialty services as part of our integrated Wellness Center, including participation in aquatic therapy and other population-specific programs.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and long-term recovery strategies.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.

Our program is integrated with a comprehensive Wellness Center that offers aquatic therapy and an array of specialized rehabilitation programs for pediatric, geriatric, orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical populations. This setting provides a dynamic environment for clinical variety and professional growth, including opportunities to learn and assist with specialty programming.


Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current state PTA license or eligibility required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained upon hire. Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. Interest in specialty programming such as aquatic therapy, balance, vestibular, or neurological rehab is preferred.
