Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekdays and rotating weekends; rotating holidays; 36-hour orientation provided; estimated patient ratio 1:3-4

Highlights:

• Work with a diverse patient population including cardiology, pulmonology, renal, hepatology, and adult cystic fibrosis patients
• Utilize Epic EMR system in a progressive care environment
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Manage complex care including cardiac drips, heparin and insulin protocols, high-flow oxygen therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Access to specialized equipment including lift equipment, IV ultrasound machines, and bladder scanners
• Two pre-approved time-off periods available per contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• IV start and telemetry skills required
• Experience with central line care, heparin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, and cardiac drip management
• Ability to titrate insulin drips
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
