Construction Accountant

Senior AccountantOur client located in the North Perimeter area is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The position is open due to growth and the duties include the following:Complete month-end closings for several companiesPrepare monthly financial packages for review by ControllerGreat communication skills and detail orientedReconcile inter-company accounts, employee/sub advance accounts, and miscellaneous accountsMaintain Contracts in Progress schedule and record over/under billing entriesVerify with accounts payable and payroll team that sales tax and payroll taxes have been paidMaintain fixed assets schedules and record depreciation entriesMaintain a schedule that verifies utility, rent, and credit card bills are received and paid on timeCommunicate with accounts payable team and request status of invoices that are unapprovedMaintain list of bank accounts, signature cards, and credit cardsPlace stop payments, request cashiers check, request information on debits and credits from the bankAssist Controller with other items as requested3 to 7 years accounting experiencePrior experience working for a trade contractor (concrete, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) a plusMulti-family construction experience a plusSAGE/Timberline or Viewpoint experience a plusAccounting Degree requiredConstruction industry experience a mustBase Salary 70K-75K plus bonus and excellent benefits
