Phlebotomy Technician I

Role Overview: This position involves collecting and processing biological specimens across various healthcare settings, ensuring proper entry into systems, preparing samples for testing, and performing assigned analytical procedures. It supports diagnostic testing and patient care by adhering to established policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Key Responsibilities Perform specimen collection, receipt, and entry into computer systems. Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to appropriate areas. Execute specified testing procedures as assigned. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a phlebotomy program and valid state certification. Basic computer proficiency and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, problem-solve, and follow instructions. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and use standard precautions. Additional Requirements Potential need for DHS fingerprinting certification and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility to travel between locations, work varied hours, weekends, holidays, and cover on-call duties.
