Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychotherapy sessions with students addressing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues through telehealth or virtual counseling.

• Utilize appropriate psychological assessments and standardized testing tools to evaluate student mental health needs accurately.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessments that are aligned with their specific challenges and educational goals.

• Provide crisis intervention services, including conducting suicide assessments and collaborating with school staff to facilitate necessary hospitalizations when indicated.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to ensure a stepped approach in managing students’ needs.

• Document all client interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards to maintain compliance and integrity in client records.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols by assisting in the development and implementation of policies that reflect best practices in mental health services.

• Participate actively in staff meetings, ongoing training sessions, and professional development initiatives to stay current on treatment trends and educational needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current LCSW license to practice in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health services, specifically in educational or child mental health settings.
