Back Senior Accountant Accounting Longwood , FL Contract Jul 22, 2026 Job Type: Temporary (4-6 months) Location: Longwood, FL 32750 Work Schedule:100% in office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm Compensation: $45/hr - $48/hr Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision Sanford Rose-JFSPartners is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the construction industry. This temporary opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to evolving priorities, and enjoys solving complex accounting challenges. The ideal candidate has strong full-cycle accounting experience, exceptional reconciliation skills, and can quickly step in to support critical accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Complete assigned weekly accounting checklists and recurring close tasks. Prepare and post journal entries. Complete monthly reconciliations for liability accounts and all balance sheet accounts. Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations that are audit-ready, including supporting documentation tied to the general ledger. Review financial statements and perform financial analysis to identify discrepancies and trends. Complete corporate credit card reconciliations. Perform payroll reconciliations, including resolving historical coding discrepancies related to a UKG implementation. Review payroll invoices to ensure payroll expenses accurately reported and recorded. Reconcile and manage intercompany transactions. Monitor tax payments and filings by verifying what was filed, who processed the payment, and where payments were made. Identify accounting issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement effective solutions with minimal direction. Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and resolve outstanding accounting issues. Communicate clearly and proactively by asking thoughtful questions and providing timely updates. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and support additional accounting projects as needed. Qualifications: 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Strong experience managing month-end close processes. Extensive experience preparing detailed, audit-ready account reconciliations with complete supporting documentation tied to the general ledger. Solid understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and account groupings. Experience reconciling payroll, liabilities, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions. Ability to quickly learn new processes and effectively troubleshoot accounting issues. Comfortable working through organizational change and shifting priorities. Experience with large ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Netsuite, SAP, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr JFS and Associates
