Facility Credentialing Specialist

*This is a remote position which requires residence in Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Florida or North Carolina. Company Overview The Facility Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing initial and reappointment applications for healthcare facilities, ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required documentation. Monitors application status and follows up on outstanding items. Maintains strong working relationships with MSO (Management Services Organization) and CVO (Credentialing Verification Organization) partners to facilitate efficient credentialing processes, resolve issues, and maintain good communication about the credentialing process. Base pay is based on market location and will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - Manage the credentialing and recredentialing process for providers.
- Collect, verify, and maintain required credentialing documentation.
- Prepare and submit initial and reappointment credentialing applications for providers.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely renewals of licenses, certifications, and contracts.
- Maintain accurate credentialing records in credentialing databases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for credentialing-related inquiries from providers, facilities, CVO/MSO offices.
- Track application status and follow up with outstanding documents for applications.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of facility credentialing
- Experience working with healthcare facilities, CVO/MSO offices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with credentialing software, databases, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
