Description

• Perform comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages, employing both standardized procedures and observational approaches.
• Design tailored treatment strategies that cater to specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges, focusing on both immediate and long-term objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions, emphasizing areas such as communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Work cohesively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family caregivers, and other professionals to formulate holistic care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to promote progress and efficacy beyond clinical appointments.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient journey.
• Keep diligent and timely records that comply with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continuous education and collaborative learning with peers to remain updated on advancements within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of beginning employment.
