Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required, 36-bed unit with target patient ratios of 1:6

Highlights:

• 16-week contract assignment supporting the unit through the holiday season (contract end date February 27, 2027)
• Diverse patient population including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery patients
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• 24-hour orientation provided with robust onboarding process
• First-time travelers welcome; strong medical-surgical background required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response procedures
• IV therapy skills including blood product administration, central line management, peripheral line care, and IV insertion/maintenance
• Respiratory management skills including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to float to all areas holding medical-surgical patients
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• OCN certification and chemotherapy administration experience preferred
