Hours of Job  

• Part-time, 1st shift
• 56 hours per pay period
• No holidays or weekends required.

Duties and Key Responsibilities  

• Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity. Shift hours may vary from day to day.
• Completes clinical assessments of the patient by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in the patient's electronic medical record.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and public.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications  

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating within 6 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire. or
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed LPN.

Experience  

• Previous experience with electronic medical records
• Previous experience in an OBGYN office is preferred, but not required.
