Corporate Associate for Venture Capital and Emerging Companies

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate with expertise in Venture Capital and Emerging Companies for their Boston, MA office. The role involves supporting transactional work and advising clients on various business matters. Duties Draft and negotiate venture capital investment agreements. Supervise, train, and mentor associates in venture capital financing and emerging company projects. Advise emerging companies on operational matters, including board and stockholder communications and equity awards. Collaborate with team members effectively. Requirements Minimum of four years of experience in venture capital and emerging company practice. Admitted or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts. Proficiency with Excel and capitalization tables. Technology-forward approach with daily proficiency in legal AI tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and balance responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective collaboration in team settings. Education JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the bar in New York or Massachusetts. Skills Proficiency in legal AI tools and technology.
