Job Details Level: Management Location: BlueWater Resort and Casino - Parker, AZ 85344 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Job Shift: Day Job Category: Hospitality - Hotel Salary: D.O.E SUMMARY Manages and oversees the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. Assists Executive Housekeeper with daily operations and employee accountability. Supervises Lead Sanitation Specialist and Pool Attendants job duties and scheduling. Oversees and supervises the duties and responsibilities of Sanitation Specialists. Ensures standards for Atrium Pool and Spa facility are maintained by the pool staff, and is responsible for guest satisfaction in the Atrium Pool. Responsible for issuing uniforms, controlling resort linens, supply ordering for housekeeping department, and employee accountability for service standards and cleanliness standards throughout the pools, fitness center, hotel rooms, and common area with the Housekeeping Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Available during Executive Housekeeper’s days off and assists with assigning duties and shifts to staff. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests. Monitors cleaning standards for guest rooms directly and through supervisors. Confers and cooperates with other departments to ensure coordination of activities and efforts. Relays all pertinent information & reports as needed. Coordinates and carries orders for all supplies needed for daily housekeeping operations. Supervises and schedules team member coverage. Follows rules set by Bluewater Resort and Casino for guest access to Atrium Pool and Spa. Issues uniforms and linens; removes damaged, stained or worn items. Keeps equipment and workstation clean and ready for use. Reports any pool or spa maintenance or safety issues to maintenance. Able and willing to work any shift/weekends and/or holidays as assigned. Assists in the protection of Bluewater Resort & Casino assets, guest property and guest/employee safety by notifying security of any suspicious or reckless behavior on or near the Pool Area and Bluewater Resort & Casino Property. Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State health & safety regulations, gaming regulations, and Bluewater Resort & Casino policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must be computer literate and demonstrate the ability to use tools associated with computing functions, including but not limited to keyboard, mouse, scanner, and printer. Must demonstrate the ability to solve hotel related problems; clear verbal and written communication skills are required. Employee must be able to deal patiently with guest complaints and remain courteous when faced with difficult or aggravated people. The ability to multi‑task and stay organized is essential to job performance. Fluent in English. Professional appearance and demeanor is required. All employees must be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS High School or GED equivalent. Minimum two (2) years housekeeping experience in a supervisory capacity. Two (2) years line level experience in all aspects of the Housekeeping Department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, reaching up to 8‑hour shifts. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others.
