Job Description: The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the dealership operations. The culture, attitude, and profitability of the dealership is established by the General Manager. To be successful in this role, the General Manager needs to be energetic, highly organized and have a passion for power sports. Creating a positive culture, and a focus on creating the ultimate customer experience is crucial in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Create sales forecasts, manage P&L, expenses, and report financial status to ownership.
• Operational Oversight: Supervise Sales, Parts, Service, and Admin departments; ensure smooth processes, optimal inventory, and service efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and develop managers and staff; foster positive morale and effective inter-departmental communication.
• Sales & Marketing: Develop sales strategies, oversee advertising, merchandising, and ensure sales processes meet targets.
• Customer Experience: Drive high customer satisfaction and build strong customer and vendor relationships.
• OEM & Compliance: Serve as primary contact for manufacturers (OEMs) and ensure compliance with industry standards.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in powersports, automotive, or related retail.
• Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Data-driven, decisive, and growth-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency with CRM, financial software, and MS Office.

 

 

 

What You Will Do Daily/Weekly:

• Walk the dealership floor, meet with managers, review sales logs, and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct manager and store meetings.
• Analyze performance metrics (KPIs) to guide strategy.
• Handle high-level hiring, purchasing, and strategic decisions.
