This temporary Production Worker role focuses on supporting the installation of racks in a warehouse environment, using hand tools and material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient setup of storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Install warehouse racking systems according to layout specifications and safety guidelines.
• Use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment to assemble, secure, and adjust racks.
• Operate a scissor lift and other material handling equipment to access elevated work areas safely.
• Assist with general labor tasks, including moving, staging, and organizing materials and components.
• Support inventory control activities by counting, labeling, and tracking rack components and related materials.
• Inspect installed racks and hardware to ensure proper alignment, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the project.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while performing installation and general labor tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality expectations.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in production or general labor roles in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Ability to safely operate a scissor lift and work at heights as needed for rack installation.
• Proficiency using hand tools such as wrenches, drills, and screwdrivers for assembly and installation tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic assembly instructions and troubleshoot minor installation issues.
• Experience in production installation, building maintenance, or handyman work.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required for rack installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control processes, including counting, labeling, and organizing components.
• Previous work in warehouse rack installation, building maintenance, or facility repair is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues during installation.
• Reliable work habits, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility toward project completion.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse environment that involves physical, hands-on work and the use of tools and equipment such as hand tools and scissor lifts. You will work around shelving, racks, and stored materials, often on concrete floors and in areas where safety procedures are strictly followed. The schedule may follow standard warehouse hours with the potential for variation based on project needs. Work is performed in casual, practical attire suitable for industrial and warehouse settings, with appropriate safety gear provided or required.

This is a Contract position based out of La Vergne, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
