Location: Brooklyn, NY (5 Days Onsite)

Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

I'm currently partnering with a highly regarded law firm in Brooklyn seeking a Real Estate / Family Law Paralegal. This is a great opportunity for someone with real estate experience who is interested in developing expertise in matrimonial law while working closely with an experienced Partner

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, and other legal documents
• Prepare debt and asset schedules, child support worksheets, and responsive pleadings
• Assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions, including preparing closing documents, reviewing title reports, coordinating closings, and handling post-closing matters
• Conduct client interviews and serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys
• Compile, organize, and review discovery materials, including disclosure statements, interrogatories, and document production
• Prepare trial notebooks and provide trial support as needed
• Serve pleadings, discovery demands, and other legal documents
• Maintain attorney calendars and coordinate meetings, court appearances, and closings
• Handle court filings, including e-filing in Family Court, State Court, and Federal Court
• Track court dates, closing dates, deadlines, and case milestones
• Review bank statements, financial records, and real estate-related documentation
• Open new matters, request conflict checks, submit internal approvals, and assist with administrative tasks
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, lenders, title companies, courts, and staff
• Assist with additional projects and assignments as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Experience with real estate transactions strongly preferred
• Exposure to or interest in Family/Matrimonial Law; training will be provided
• Paralegal Certificate required
• Familiarity with title review, closing processes, and real estate documentation is a plus
• Experience reviewing financial records and disclosure documents
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with legal software such as Westlaw and ProLaw is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to client service
