Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit position requiring IMCU, medsurg, and telemetry experience on the night shift.

Details

• 27-bed unit caring for a mix of IMCU, neurology, and medsurg patients
• High volume of neuro, medicine, and cardiology patients, including chronic vents, trachs, and high acuity heart failure cases
• Patient ratios average 1:3 for IMCU and 1:4 or 1:4-5 for medsurg patients
• Uses auto med dispensing systems
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry certification required
• Minimum 1 year of IMCU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of recent medsurg and telemetry experience required
• Experience with neuro care, MIs, and trachs required
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips required
• Critical care experience preferred
• Must complete a telemetry test on day one
• Skills checklist and professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for patients with complex medical needs across IMCU, neurology, and medsurg populations
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible for this travel position
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
