Custodian$27.28 an hour See attached job description 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMSupervisor: Director of OperationsEmployee Group: EMCMALicensing Requirements: NoneQualifications: High school diploma or equivalentPurpose The position of Custodian was established for the purpose of ensuring that a safe, comfortable, and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.Essential Functions1. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas safe, neat, and clean at all times.2. Remove snow and salt walks, driveways, parking areas (where inaccessible to motorized plow) and steps, as appropriate.3. Check daily to insure that all exit doors are open and all panic hardware is working properly during the hours of building occupancy.4. Clean classrooms daily, including sweeping/mopping/vacuuming floors, trash disposal, and dusting.5. Clean corridors after school each day and during the day when their conditions require.6. Scrub, mop and disinfect restroom floors and clean/supply all sanitary fixtures daily, pour water into floor drains each week, or more frequently if needed.7. Wash all windows at least once each year and more frequently if necessary.8. Assist Head Custodian with performing such ground keeping chores as grass cutting tree/shrubbery trimming and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.9. Maintain all floors in a safe, clean, and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.10. Report needed repairs promptly to the Head Custodian.11. Report all interior and exterior vandalism to the Building Administrator(s), Head Custodian and Director of Operations. Contact police and obtain an official report.12. Remain on the school property during assigned work hours when the use of the buildings has been authorized and attendance required by the Building Administrator(s) and Director of Operations.13. Under the direction of the Head Custodian, assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the buildings, and determine before leaving that all doors and windows are secured and all non-security lights are turned off.14. Keep assigned custodial closet clean and stocked adequately.15. Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the Head Custodian.16. Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.17. Perform emergency repair or cleaning services as necessary.18. Follow District procedures for reporting personal injuries.19. Operate District equipment with care and maintain adequately.20.
