A luxurious downtown Dallas hotel is seeking a creative, innovative and action-oriented leader to serve as the new Director of Sales & Marketing.

The Director of Sales & Marketing serves as the chief commercial officer of the hotel, with accountability for all revenue-generating disciplines: group room blocks and citywide conventions, catering and convention services, transient sales, marketing, public relations, and revenue management strategy.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this leader will manage an experienced team of sales, catering, and convention services professionals while partnering closely with Revenue Management and Operations to maximize every revenue opportunity across all segments.

Success in this role requires someone who can operate with equal command at the strategic level-building annual business plans, owning the budget, setting rate strategy, and at the relationship level, maintaining key accounts, engaging the Dallas CVB, and representing the hotel at industry events.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate the full sales, catering, and convention services team.
• Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans across all revenue segments.
• Exceed budgeted revenues, group rate guidelines, and RevPAR Index goals.
• Drive proactive solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales.
• Develop packages to fill identified need periods across all segments.
• Manage and grow relationships with the Dallas CVB and key industry partners.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry associations, and city events.

Qualifications

• DOSM experience in a luxury or upper-upscale hotel or resort is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior sales and/or marketing leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of 10+ people.
• Convention or large-group hotel background is strongly preferred.
• Proven RevPAR index growth and group rate discipline.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
