Job Description

The Sit Down Forklift Operator operates a forklift to move materials within a warehouse or distribution center, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting goods. They may also be responsible for inventory management, scanning, and reporting errors.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Use RF scanners to accurately track and record inventory
• Stack, stage, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Verify products against paperwork for accuracy- product, product count size and count of pallets, carrier, correct labels, packing list location.
• Arrange cartons on pallets and loads trucks keeping in mind size, weight, height, and other characteristics.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while maintaining productivity
• Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain productivity.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Basic math skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Ability to verify products against documentation
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods
• Strong teamwork and cooperation skills
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

The base pay range for this position is $17.50 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
