Work Environment

This position operates within a home care setting where you will provide onsite therapy to patients in their living environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and create customized treatment plans based on established standards of physical therapy practice, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and comprehensive measurements.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient sessions in our electronic medical record system, ensuring that all billing charges are appropriately reflected.
• Perform proactive screenings for specific patient needs, such as assessing for lymphedema, fall risks, or need for rehabilitation services.
• Design and implement targeted treatment programs aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, alleviating pain, and minimizing the risk of permanent disabilities.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of each patient.
• Participate in opportunities to contribute to clinical advancements through educational presentations, publications, and supervision of students and interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied patient population that may include individuals facing significant challenges due to physical injuries, developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, or learning disorders. Our patients often require tailored therapeutic interventions that maximize their daily functioning and facilitate gradual progress toward recovery.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida PT License is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to competently work with pediatric patients, tailoring treatment approaches as necessary.
• Experience and comfort in both clinical and hospital environments, with a focus on inpatient care provision.
• Familiarity with evidence-based hospital medicine practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have additional experience in advanced physical therapy techniques or specialized areas of rehabilitation. Familiarity with various modalities and innovative treatment methods will be advantageous for contributing to the interdisciplinary care team.

Compensation and Benefits

• This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
