Oracle Database Administrator

Oracle Database AdministratorApex Systems is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with experience in 10c/12 administration and supporting DEV, QA, and PROD environments. The Oracle DBA will be working with development teams on performance tuning as well as production level database administrator duties.Location: Horsham, PA (hybrid; 2 days’ in office preferred)Duration: 1 Year+ Contract – conversion to FTEPrimary Responsibilities:Work closely with development and architecture teams to properly engineer effective database solutions that ensure reliability, quality, and scalabilityPerform database administration tasks in QA and development environments, create database objects (tables, indexes, views, packages, etc.), define security policies, create and maintain SQL/PL-SQL and shell scripts to automate deployment tasksResolve complex incidents (e.g., Data issues, performance tuning, security)Create and maintain roles and privilegesProvide capacity projections and monitor space utilizationMonitor Oracle processes and logs for any anomalies, provide corrective actions as necessaryProvide assistance to developers for resolving technical Oracle issues, document and implement Oracle best practicesInterface with developers regarding physical database design decisions and PL/SQL coding designAct as point of contact for all database-related issues and take ownership of the relationship with Optum Managed Services Oracle DBA teamSupport all phases of the software development lifecycleSupport the data governance processesReview and enforce coding standardsRequired Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experienceSolid knowledge of Oracle 19c/12c and technical database concepts, such as: logical relational data modeling, physical data modeling, tuning large instances, resource management, data replication and backup/recovery techniquesExpert knowledge of SQL and PL/SQLExperience with Oracle 19c RAC ExadataExperience with database and system maintenance proceduresPreferred Qualifications:Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple prioritiesAbility to troubleshoot and debug complex technical problemsProficiency in Oracle RDBMS database management in LinuxCommand administering database security, data recovery, performance monitoring and tuningProficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
