Part-Time Maintenance TechnicianAs a Part-Time Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of hotel systems and equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians are thorough professionals with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work on a team or alone and observe all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.This position may require flexible scheduling availability.Job Requirements:Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbancesComplete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairsComplete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projectsComplete pool and exercise room equipment repairs if necessaryOngoing involvement in preventative maintenance programsCheck stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriateWork with Chief Engineer and Management team to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled related projectsPrepares all necessary reports during each shift for the management teamWhen required, report to Hotel in bad weather conditions for maintenance of Hotel's exterior (snow shoveling, ice melting, etc.)Job Qualifications:Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievementMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to work well in stressful situationsAbility to complete work orders on a timely basisReadily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest serviceAbility and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short noticeResponsible for knowing Hotel emergency proceduresThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
