Job Summary:

The Automotive Detailer cleans and refurbishes new, used, and service vehicles, following Company and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner. Assist all customers promptly and professionally.
• Restores the appearance of vehicles to new or likenew condition to the best of your ability.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stainresistant chemicals.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steamcleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Applies specialpurpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces.
• Uses touchup paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials as needed.
• Fills vehicle with fuel.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages.
• Replaces missing or defective small parts.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times. Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle's window.
• Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Basic automotive knowledge required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Past automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Experience using a buffer and carpet extractor preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must utilize effective time management skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at one time.
• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid drivers license required for essential job functions and occasional travel.
