AR Specialist

Client: Law Firm (Must have experience) Compensation: $75,000/year Location: Woodbury, LI Office Policy: 3 days/week onsite, flexibility available if needed Responsibilities include: Payment Processing: Accurately post high-volume payments (Checks, Credit Cards, Wires, ACH) and complex contractual adjustments to client accounts. Account Reconciliation: Research unidentified payments and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with billing and collections teams. Data Management: Update client files regarding NSF rejects and maintain precise records of all payment terms and conditions. Inquiry Management: Monitor and resolve payment-related inquiries professionally via email. Financial Support: Process credit card transactions, refunds, and other tasks as assigned by management. Required Qualifications: Education: Associate degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. Experience: Proven background in Accounts Receivable and cash applications within a professional services environment (Legal industry preferred). Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel proficiency and experience with accounting/billing software. Soft Skills: Detail-oriented with strong time management, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication skills. Work Style: Autonomous, reliable, and capable of maintaining accuracy in a high-volume data entry environment.
