Business Development Manager

Position Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and executing strategies that increase revenue and market presence. This role involves market research, lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships within the assigned territory, including customers, architects, engineers, owners, and general contractors. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation. Respond to customer, architect, engineer, and construction manager inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with leadership to support and achieve revenue and growth objectives. Conduct routine site visits before and after project award to support sales and project execution. Work closely with estimators and project managers to develop accurate estimates, proposals, and scopes of work. Coordinate with designers to ensure designs are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements. Review architectural and engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations. Support other Business Development Managers as needed. Communicate with owners, general contractors, and project stakeholders regarding installation progress, issues, and required modifications. Partner with estimators to ensure pricing aligns with customer expectations while maintaining cost efficiency. Confer with superintendents, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors to resolve work procedures, concerns, or installation issues. Represent the company professionally in the field and serve as a brand ambassador. Lead by example in quality, safety, organization, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, opportunity, and pipeline information in Salesforce. Travel, including overnight travel, to job sites as required. Skills & Qualifications Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of the artificial turf and/or track industry, grading, flooring, or general construction is preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to motivate, collaborate with, and support cross-functional teams. Excellent client relationship management and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and basic math skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective time management and sound decision-making abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and internet-based research tools is preferred. Experience using CRM systems, including Salesforce, with the ability to consistently input and maintain accurate data.
