Global IT Network Architect (Remote)

Job Details:We are seeking a highly skilled Global IT Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide network solutions. The role requires to be on-site. This role will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructures that support business operations across the globe. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in global architecture, routing and switching, WAN/LAN, and latency optimization, to design highly available, secure, and scalable network infrastructures that support enterprise-wide digital operations.ResponsibilitiesNetwork Architecture & Design: Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing global network infrastructure using network technologies (routers, sd-wan, switches).Wireless Network Solutions: Lead the planning and deployment of wireless network solutions, including wireless controllers, access points (APs), and associated infrastructure.Network Topologies: Develop and maintain scalable network topologies across data centers, cloud environments, and remote offices.Network Segmentation: Define and enforce network segmentation strategies using VLANs, subnetting, and access controls.Global Standards: Establish global standards for network architecture, configuration, and security.Performance Monitoring: Lead global network performance monitoring, fault isolation, and troubleshooting.Collaboration: Collaborate with regional IT teams to deploy consistent solutions and ensure compliance with corporate policies and best practices.Network Security & ComplianceSecurity Standards: Ensure alignment with global security standards, including NAC, wireless encryption, segmentation, and access control.Vendor & ISP ManagementPerformance Monitoring: Monitor performance and escalate issues with vendors as needed to minimize downtime and maximize ROI.Procurement Strategies: Assist with vendor relationships and engage in hardware/software procurement strategies.Operational ExcellenceLifecycle Management: Drive the lifecycle management of Cisco Enterprise hardwareNetwork Monitoring: Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.Incident Response: Support global incident response for critical network outages or degradations.Documentation & Knowledge SharingNetwork Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP schemas, and change management records.Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers and support teams.QualificationsVendors/Platforms: Cisco/Meraki, Extreme, Infoblox, Silverpeak SD-WAN, Proxim, StarlinkEducation: Prefer bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, ideally in a global enterprise environment.Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with network technology: switches, routers, wireless controllers, spanning-tree, monitoring tools, setting parameters/alerts, and IPSec Tunneling. Expert knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS).WAN Technologies: Experience with WAN technologies, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs, and strong experience with cloud connectivity (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure networking), advanced subnetting, VLANs, IP planning, and network segmentation.Network Automation: Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting (nice to have).Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills (dealing with distributed teams, cross-region projects), strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Certifications: Preferred certifications include:CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert)AWS/GCP/Azure Networking CertificationThe ideal candidateself-motivated and highly productivea data-driven problem solverpassionate about making things better for end usersloves learning and teaching othersmakes teammates betterresourceful and adaptablecommunicates effectively** Not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future **Relocation Assistance Eligible:NoWork Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)Pay Range/Rate:$129,000.00 - $215,000.00Incentives:Annual Incentive Plan:YesLong-Term Incentive Plan:NoCertain roles at Tyson require background checks.
