Project ManagerLaSalle Network is hiring a Project Manager to join a well-established construction company known for delivering complex projects for government agencies. This role offers the opportunity to lead project teams from inception through closeout, with oversight of safety, quality, schedule and budget across multiple technical disciplines.This is an ideal opportunity for a construction professional with deep experience delivering government projects (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, State of Illinois, City of Chicago) who is ready to take on a leadership role managing project staff, subcontractors and overall project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesManage design and construction work across all technical disciplines, including civil, electrical, carpentry, framing, plumbing, HVAC and roofingEnsure all design and construction comply with contractual requirements, building codes and permitting/inspection processesDetermine construction means and methods as appropriateReview subcontractor, vendor and teaming partner bids for completeness prior to agreement executionParticipate in proposal teams for technical material preparation and bid evaluationDevelop, update and maintain project schedules in coordination with the project teamManage assigned projects from inception to closeout, including commissioningDirect project staff and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and in complianceWork closely with Estimating to develop subcontracts, scope and specificationsTrack project accounting, labor costs, material expenses, change orders, RFIs and submittalsIdentify labor requirements, subcontractors, vendors and other external resources needed for deliveryBuild and maintain strong client relationships throughout project executionEstablish and maintain project controls compliant with all requirementsOversee preparation of required documentation, including daily, quality and safety reports and tracking logsEvaluate tracking log data against schedule requirements to identify need for acceleration or material expeditingProvide leadership, mentoring and technical direction to project staffCoordinate and maintain minutes for weekly internal review meetings with Construction, Procurement and EngineeringMonitor and respond to potential schedule slippage, maintaining close contact with subcontractors and vendors on fabrication and delivery timelinesWhat's Needed?Bachelor's degree in a related field5–10 years of experience delivering successful construction projects to government agencies (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, State of Illinois – CDB, UIC, UIUC; City of Chicago – CHA, PBC, DGS, CDA)U.S. Army Corps of Engineers "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" Certification (within last 5 years)OSHA 30-hour certification and EM 385 40-hour certification (within last 5 years)OSHA HAZWOPER certificationNAVFAC ECATTS CertificationCPR/First Aid certificationProficiency with construction industry softwareStrong communication skills and sound judgmentAbility to work under pressure and travel to remote project locations as neededWhat's In It for Me?Opportunity to lead high-profile government construction projectsCareer growth into a senior project leadership role with oversight responsibilitiesCollaborative work with Construction, Procurement and Engineering teamsExposure to a wide range of technical disciplines and project typesKey DetailsCompensation : $120,000–$140,000Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401kLocation : Des Plaines, ILWork Model : On-SiteIf you're a construction leader ready to take on a high-impact Project Manager role with a respected firm, apply today!LaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v.
