Senior Manager, Business Development – Finance

New York, NY | Hybrid

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced  Senior Manager, Business Development – Finance to play a key strategic role supporting its highly regarded Finance practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior business development professional who enjoys working directly with partners, developing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and leading sophisticated client and market initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Serve as a trusted business development advisor to Finance partners and practice leadership
• Develop and execute strategic BD plans, client targeting initiatives, and growth opportunities
• Lead high-profile pitches, RFPs, presentations, credentials, and client development initiatives
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and support key client relationships
• Monitor Finance market trends, competitors, transactions, and emerging opportunities
• Support Private Credit, Structured Finance, Banking, and related transactional practices
• Track deal activity, league tables, pipelines, and practice performance
• Partner with global BD, marketing, communications, events, and competitive intelligence teams
• Coach and support partners on business development and client presentations
• Manage and mentor members of the BD team

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Experience supporting Finance, Banking, Corporate, or other transactional practices strongly preferred
• Strong experience working directly with senior partners and practice leaders
• Excellent writing, presentation, analytical, and project management skills
• Experience with financial and market intelligence resources such as Bloomberg, PitchBook, Capital IQ, Preqin, or similar platforms
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or J.D. a plus
