Narrative Strategist

The role: As a Narrative Strategist, you'll work closely with the Creative Director and Chief of Strategy to develop foundational written materials, advise on narrative positioning and oversee copy, briefs, and explorations. Full time in person at our Brooklyn office. Responsibilities:

• Write foundational brand materials, manifestos, and narrative briefs
• Own copy across launches, landing pages, video scripts, and campaigns.
• Write and edit social copy, taglines, headlines, manifestos, product naming, naming, memos, and other brand communications both internal and external.
• Build Whop’s brand voice and tone across all surfaces.
• Translate our brand voice to guides for in product copy.
• Build core voice guidelines and tools to share with our team.

Qualifications:

• An extensive portfolio of writing, including but not limited to web, print, tech, and advertising with evidence of curiosity, experimentation, and innovation in how you approach prose.
• Internet native sensibilities and strong understanding of trends and zeitgeist.
• An understanding that AI writing will not suffice, and that the parts of writing that you choose to automate “do not show”.
• Experience Bonus: Editorial writing for magazines or blogs in the art or technology industry

• Compensation range: $125,000- $170,000 + meaningful equity.
