We are currently recruiting for an HR Generalist job in Kernersville, NC! This is a fully on-site role with a manufacturing organization. This role handles a broad range of HR responsibilities, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, compliance, HR systems, and workforce reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on HR experience, experience with ADP Workforce Now, understands employment laws and HR best practices, and is comfortable supporting employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support and guidance to employees and supervisors

• Address employee concerns and assist with workplace investigations

• Support corrective actions, employee engagement, retention, and recognition efforts

• Manage recruiting for hourly and salaried positions

• Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and facilitate hiring activities

• Administer pre-employment requirements and new-hire onboarding

• Support benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and employee benefit questions

• Coordinate employee leaves, workplace accommodations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work activities

• Maintain accurate employee information in the HR system

• Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations

• Support payroll through accurate data entry and record auditing

• Prepare reports related to turnover, attendance, headcount, recruiting, and workforce trends

• Maintain personnel files and confidential employment records

• Support compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements

• Assist with employee training, performance reviews, and development initiatives

• Partner with operations to support workforce planning and a safe workplace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

• At least 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with employee relations, recruiting, benefits, leave administration, and HR compliance

• Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws

• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, and workers' compensation

• Experience using HR information systems, applicant tracking systems, and electronic employee records

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now

• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is preferred but not required

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

• Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

• Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail

• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working with production employees, supervisors, and senior leaders

• Ability to analyze HR data and identify workforce trends

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
