Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM Tue 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM Thur 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM Fri 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, families, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location. Greet visitors at the front desk, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site policies. Monitor access to the facility, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to entry procedures. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed. Monitor communications and relevant front-desk systems, document security-related incidents and observations, and maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk environment. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Have at least 5 years of security-related experience. A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
