Associate Litigation Attorney

Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney in Jacksonville, FL. This position involves working on diverse civil litigation matters, focusing on insurance defense law, within a supportive and collaborative environment. Duties Manage comprehensive case files, including legal research, discovery, and factual investigations. Review and analyze medical records and detailed medical chronologies. Draft legal documents such as memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and case progress reports. Represent clients at depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Maintain accurate and contemporaneous time records for all billable activities. Meet established billable hour targets while ensuring quality and efficiency. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Collaborate with team members and support staff to ensure optimal case outcomes. Stay current on relevant legal developments and industry trends. Requirements Requirements1-5 years of civil litigation experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software. A robust work ethic and commitment to excellence. Education EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications CertificationsFlorida Bar License (Required). Skills SkillsExperience in insurance defense litigation preferred. Trial experience preferred. Familiarity with motor vehicle and premises liability matters preferred.
