Practice Areas We are actively seeking lateral partners with experience and a portable book of business in the following practice areas: Mergers and Acquisitions Corporate Transactions Construction Law Cybersecurity & Data Protection Labor & Employment Law Position Requirements We are looking for lateral partners who possess: A portable book of business. A minimum of seven (7) years of legal experience in one or more of the firm’s practice areas. Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage high-level client responsibilities. Compensation Oberman Law Firm offers a transparent and competitive compensation structure designed to reward performance, business development, and long-term success. Base Compensation Base compensation is individually tailored to each lateral partner and is determined by their portable book of business. We evaluate each lateral partner’s practice area, client base, and revenue contribution to determine a compensation structure, which ensures financial stability from day one. Origination Credit Depending on the size of the portable book of business, lateral partners may be eligible to receive full origination credit for new clients and matters they originate. Origination credit may apply to all ongoing legal work generated from originated clients, ensuring recurring revenue recognition. Additional origination credit opportunities are available for successfully introducing firm services to new or existing clients across practice areas. Our origination credit system is clear, transparent, and designed to incentivize proactive business development. Performance-Based Bonus Structure Our bonus structure rewards lateral partners for achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability targets. Bonus opportunities include potential: Revenue Generation Bonuses for exceeding agreed-upon annual revenue targets.
