Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze specifications to prepare time cost materials and labor estimates to be included in a recommended selling price
- Utilize estimating software to provide quotes to Sales Representatives
- Engineer the best production plan for a project
- Evaluate all methods available for producing a job and provides quotes based on the most economical method
- Consult with sales vendors personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Revise estimates as needed due to specification changes
- Assure quality standards are met before delivering a quote
- Offer suggestions to improve financial performance of projects being estimated
- Minimum 5-7 years in the printing packaging industry with at least 3 years experience as an Estimator
- Strong analytical computer and math skills
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope
- Positive can do customer focus and attitude
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all printing processes paper ink and finishing
- Complete ability to calculate the quality of paper ink plates and the time required to complete each job based company and industry parameters
