Position Overview

As Senior Manager, Business Operations Partner, you are the dedicated operations partner for Autodesk's Expansion business in AMER. You work closely with AMER Expansion Sales leadership to understand how the business is performing, identify operational challenges, and drive issues toward resolution. You are responsible for connecting field needs and business context with the broader Revenue Operations organization, helping ensure the AMER Expansion business can execute effectively.

This is a hands-on role. You are expected to get into the details, develop a clear point of view, and drive work forward across teams and functions. When this role is working well, AMER Sales Expansion leadership has greater visibility into the business, operational issues are addressed quickly, and insights from the field inform broader decisions and priorities.

Responsibilities

Field Partnership & Problem Solving

• Get into the details of how the AMER Expansion business operates, understand the sales process, execution gaps, and friction points at the ground level

• Diagnose operational problems, talk to the field, develop a clear point of view, and drive toward a solution, engaging or escalating to the right teams when needed

• Identify patterns across field conversations, business performance, and stakeholder input to surface operational issues and opportunities

• Reframe ambiguous problems into clear, solvable questions and work across stakeholders to drive alignment and resolution

Operations Execution & Alignment

• Own operational issues through resolution, doing the work directly where appropriate and partnering across Revenue Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, IT and Finance where broader support is needed

• Build and run the operational rhythms that keep the AMER Expansion business on track, including status reviews, issue tracking, escalation loops, and field feedback channels

• Develop the business case for changes needed in the field, pressure-test the logic, gather relevant input, and bring forward clear recommendations

• Help prioritize field requests based on business impact and enterprise priorities, escalating broader tradeoffs when needed

Business Planning & Insight

• Bring the AMER Expansion field perspective into annual planning, segmentation, coverage model changes, and policy development

• Identify and synthesize patterns from the AMER field that may have broader implications for Global Expansion programs and priorities

• Prepare operational context and insights for leadership reviews, helping translate business performance and field input into a clear narrative

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, or a related business partner role, preferably within an enterprise technology company
• Experience partnering with Sales leaders in an embedded, field-facing capacity
• Understanding of enterprise sales, expansion, or other complex sales motions
• Strong problem-solving orientation, with the ability to diagnose operational friction, identify root causes, and drive cross-functional resolution
• Proficiency with Salesforce and sales and operational tooling; comfortable using data to understand business performance and identify where further investigation is needed
• Ability to get things done across functions without direct authority, working effectively across Strategy & Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance
• Strong communicator who can translate operational complexity into clear insights and recommendations for field and operations stakeholders

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $124,000 and $221,430. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
