This is an excellent opportunity to join a transformational company with a big heart of restoring hope back to the underserved community and a strong opportunity for growth.Position Summary:As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our programs, including inpatient, residential, and the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The RN plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to individuals participating in these programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in psychiatric nursing, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to providing holistic care.Duties And Responsibilities:Conduct nursing assessments to evaluate the physical and mental health status of patients in the program assigned.Administer medications, monitor responses, and collaborate with the treatment team to adjust treatment plans as needed.Monitor vital signs, mental health symptoms, and overall well-being of patients throughout the day program.Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, including psychiatric crises.Build therapeutic relationships with patients to support their mental health and overall well-being.Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.Provide health education to patients and their families, including medication management, symptom recognition, and self-care strategies.Collaborate with the treatment team to conduct educational groups on relevant health topics.Work closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to treatment planning.Assist in managing psychiatric crises by providing immediate nursing interventions and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure patient safety.Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure timely completion of required documentation.Experience And Qualifications:Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington, D.C.Experience in psychiatric nursing or a related mental health field.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learningProficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and other standard software applications.Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.Competencies:Simplify complex issues; breaking down big problems into smaller, manageable tasks, and identifying the key priorities that will have the biggest impact on the businessDelegate effectively; giving clear direction, setting expectations, and providing the necessary resources and support to help their teams succeedPredict future trends and challenges; staying up-to-date on industry developments, monitoring market trends, and seeking out new opportunities for growth and innovation.Systemize processes; identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, establishing clear workflows and procedures, and ensuring that everyone in the organization is aligned around the same goals.Structure organization for growth; defining clear roles and responsibilities, establishing a clear chain of command, and creating a culture of accountability and transparency.AAP/EEO StatementIt's the policy of Prestige Healthcare Resources, Inc. to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic formation, marital status, status about public assistance, veteran status, or any characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
