Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for a clinical pass. Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Accessing Ports; Arterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; PICC line management; Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs. IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Oncology, Respiratory, Tracheostomy care/management, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Medications, Endocrine/Metabolic

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required. Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of chemotherapy, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry Oncology, PCA, Titration of Insulin drips Teaching Hospital Experience

Shift & Scheduling: If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekend shifts per contract are variable based on unit needs. D/N or N

Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Can not apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more. Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location. RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
