Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine PhysicianWe are seeking an ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Norwich, Connecticut. This position provides overnight Emergency Department coverage as part of a collaborative team with 24-hour APP support.Compensation: $300 Per HourPosition HighlightsStart Date: Late December / Early JanuarySchedule: 11:00 PM–9:00 AMApproximately 32 hours per weekTypical schedule: 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the nextNocturnal coverage24-hour APP coverageDual physician coverage from 7:00 AM–2:00 AMSingle physician coverage from 2:00 AM–7:00 AMAnnual ED volume: approximately 54,000 visitsAverage: approximately 15 patients per shiftCoverage is needed to backfill a retiring physicianResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all acuity levels.Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent conditions.Perform standard Emergency Department procedures within scope of practice.Stabilize patients and determine appropriate disposition.Collaborate with APPs and other members of the emergency care team.Provide appropriate consultations, admissions, transfers, and follow-up care.Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.QualificationsABEM certification requiredEmergency Medicine residency trainingCurrent Connecticut medical license
