This locums opportunity offers a consistent nocturnist schedule with an average of 32 hours per week, typically three shifts one week and four shifts the next. The provider will work primarily with APP support, transitioning to single physician coverage during the early morning hours.

• Nocturnal emergency medicine coverage

• Dual physician coverage from 7:00 AM-2:00 AM
• Single physician coverage from 2:00 AM-7:00 AM
• Standard emergency department procedures required
• Local and drive-in candidates will be prioritized

Practice Setting:

Emergency Department

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 15 patients per shift
• Approximately 54,000 annual ED visits

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide overnight emergency medicine coverage
• Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
• Perform standard emergency department procedures
• Manage acute and emergent conditions
• Provide medical decision-making and treatment recommendations
• Work collaboratively with APPs and other emergency department providers
• Provide single physician coverage from 2:00 AM-7:00 AM

Daytime/Evening Coverage:

• Dual physician coverage from 7:00 AM-2:00 AM
• 24-hour APP coverage

Overnight Coverage:

• Nocturnist shift: 11:00 PM-9:00 AM
• Single physician coverage from 2:00 AM-7:00 AM

• ABEM certification - Required
