HR Generalist

POSITION OVERVIEW Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an HR Generalist for a client in the hospitality industry. This temporary opportunity is primarily onsite during the initial onboarding period, with potential hybrid flexibility after training based on business needs. The role is located in West Hollywood, CA. Our client is seeking an HR Generalist to provide immediate temporary HR support across core employee operations, including leave administration, workers’ compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations. This role will partner closely with the HR leadership team to support day-to-day HR needs across multiple locations, including upcoming restaurant openings. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who can independently manage processes, handle confidential employee matters with discretion, and serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers. PERKS Competitive compensation of $40/hour with a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) Opportunity to make an immediate impact supporting critical HR operations and business growth initiatives Gain exposure to multi-location hospitality operations, HR technology systems, and process improvements Business casual work environment with provided onsite parking Collaborative partnership with experienced HR leadership and cross-functional teams RESPONSIBILITIES Manage core HR processes including leave administration, workers’ compensation, benefits administration, and employee support inquiries Handle FMLA, LOA, California Disability (SDI/PFL), ADA accommodations, and the ADA interactive process Support employee relations activities, performance documentation, and confidential employee matters Maintain accurate HRIS records and assist with HR technology implementations and system processes Provide HR support for multi-location operations, including new restaurant openings and employee lifecycle changes Partner with HR leadership and internal teams to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting broad HR Generalist functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and HR operations Knowledge of workers’ compensation administration and responding to employee and manager HR inquiries Experience maintaining HRIS systems and supporting HR technology platforms Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information, exercise sound judgment, and work collaboratively COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This temporary HR Generalist opportunity offers compensation of $40/hour. The assignment is expected to last approximately 1-3 months, with a Monday-Friday schedule of 40 hours per week. The position is primarily onsite at the client’s West Hollywood, CA location during the initial onboarding period, with potential flexibility after training based on business needs.
