What You Will DoRaytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking Senior Systems Engineers interested in Naval Radar engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the aval undersea and Naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. Our Naval Radar engineers perform radar data analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.Support planning and execution of system engineering design activitiesPrepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholdersDevelop requirements to ensure system designs meet program objectives and customer needs.Detect and diagnose system failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.Support software/hardware efforts, collaborating with software teams to ensure seamless functionality.Work across disciplines to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.Stay up to date with advancements in data analysis techniques, and Integration, Verification, or Test practices.What You Will LearnAfter completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) activities across the product development lifecycle.Qualifications You Must HaveBachelor’s in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.Experience with MBSE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, and/or other digital engineering tools.Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
