Shipping ClerkSpitzer, a recognized industry leader in designing and fabricating high-specification equipment, is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team.What Does a Week in the Life of the Shipping Clerk Look Like?Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriersEnsure documentation of outgoing loads is present and correctTrack and trace all shipments and load statusEnsure TMS system contains current and complete dataCreates all BOLs and shipping documentation required for all outgoing loadsScans all BOLs and pictures for all shipments into corresponding job foldersResponds promptly to all customer inquiriesCommunication with all levels of personnel, i.e. Superintendents, Managers, and Project Managers on material being loaded and shippedAssist Accounts Payable in resolving problem freight invoicesUpdates and maintains Shipping Log on a daily basisUpdates Load Board on all outgoing scheduled shipmentsEnters shipping requisitions for needed supplies and toolsPerform assigned activities according to Company requirements and procedures as directed by Supervisor.Complies with all HSE regulations and requirementsFollow all health safety procedure and regulations as outlined by the CompanyOther assigned dutiesSkills (to Pay the Bills)Here's a list of a few competencies that the Shipping Clerk at Spitzer should have…High school diploma or equivalent1 to 2 years of experience in a similar or related positionTransportation experience/background preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliar with use of MS Office software, TMS, and Sage 400 (MAS) a plusMust be able to work independently and under time constraintsWhat's it like to be a part of the Spitzer Family?Spitzer is a fast-paced company that focuses on exceeding our customers' expectations on every project.
