Overview Job Description The Human Resources Manager partners with leadership to drive effective people practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees all aspects of employment and employee relations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, labor relations, benefits, payroll coordination, and safety programs. Serving as a trusted advisor and employee advocate, the position ensures consistent application of HR policies, legal compliance, and positive employee relations while supporting business objectives through coaching, communication, and organizational development. Responsibilities Provide coaching, leadership and support to managers and employees regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, questions and concerns. Lead and manage all employment practices including recruitment, orientation, professional development of employees, promotions, transfers, terminations and temporary agency utilization. Administer various human resource policies for site including the administration of attendance and disciplinary policies ensuring consistency within location. Act as employee advocate and mediator with employee relations concerns and handle human resources legal issues as required. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state HR requirements; conduct investigations; maintain records; represent the organization at hearings. Participate in employee disciplinary and/or counseling issues with supervision as necessary; review any disciplinary documentation as it may apply. Manage performance review process and ensure employee training includes any competency development plans. Administer all employee benefit and payroll programs and coordinate with corporate as necessary; work with payroll to answer employees’ questions about checks. Recruit all salaried exempt/non-exempt, hourly, part-time and agency employees. Ensure onboarding and orientation is effective; follow up as necessary. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional relationships with all levels of management and employees. Administer and manage union contract if the site is union; work with Business Agent as necessary, respond to grievances and participate in contract negotiations. Maintain positive employee relations in general; in non-union environments focus on maintaining a union-free status. Actively participate in and lead plant safety program; manage safety-related documentation including accident reporting and OSHA records. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications bilingual/Spanish is required Minimum of 3-5 years of experience; manufacturing environment preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource related field; MS degree is a plus PHR/SPHR certification a plus Demonstrated leadership abilities by partnering with business leaders in a fast-paced, changing operations environment Knowledge of HR labor and employment law and ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiatives Demonstrated ability to present, influence, negotiate, and coach managers and supervisors to use the company\'s best practices Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills Ability to express opinions professionally with strong conflict resolution skills Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills Experience in union or non-union environments depending on location Salary and Benefits The annual salary range is $85K – $110K.
