Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Staunton, VA, or Plymouth, MN – Hybrid, 3-4 days in officeYour Responsibilities:Create engineering documentation including Solidworks, modeling, fabrication and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards.Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation.Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules.Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills.Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.Complete work assignments within determined time frame and use judgment in determining assignment goals.Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin products.Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic.Be part of and function in a team environment including cross functional and inter-departmental teams.Your Qualifications:Vocational or Technical Degree in Design/Drafting or Equivalent Experience4-6 years related design experienceExperience in sheet metal design and/or HVAC products is desired.Ability to travel (10% or less of the time)Your Benefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and company-paid holidaysPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local lawTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $31.73 - $52.29 USD per hour in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls.
